The Red Melon is one of the most striking cultivated discus you can add to a freshwater display. Bred for a warm, even wash of fiery orange-red across the body with clean, bar-free coloration, this strain delivers the bold "Marlboro red" look that collectors prize — no wild stress bars, just smooth, saturated color from face to fin.

At roughly 4.5 inches, these are well-started juveniles to young adults: past the fragile small-fry stage, already showing strong adult coloration, and ready to settle into a community of their own kind. Discus are graceful, deliberate swimmers that bring a calm, elegant presence to a planted Amazon-style tank.

Discus are happiest in groups, so we recommend keeping 5 or more together to reduce stress and encourage natural behavior. With clean, warm, soft water and a quality protein-rich diet, a healthy Red Melon can be a centerpiece fish for years.
